Macy Gray - (2001)

The 16 metre Barnett Offshore designed workboat was built for Western Workboats, Tauranga. The Macy Gray is a multi purpose vessel available for lease.

At First glance, one can be forgiven for thinking that Macy Gray is another example of the second generation of Western Australian cray boats which are becoming  so popular with commercial operators around the New Zealand Coast.

However, that is where any similarity Ceases. Designed by Tim Barnett from Barnett Offshore Design in Blenheim, and built  by Ocean Raider Alloy Boats in Palmerston North, The Macy Gray is a fast , multi-purpose workboat. She has very large deck area to suit the many roles she is designed to work in, from diving and fishinhg to oceanographic research and seismic surveying.
