The owner of Matariki – an experienced yachtsman sought a Barnett Offshore Designed passagemaker that would allow him and his wife to travel the world unassisted.

 The Johnson wanted a boat they could live on,Covering long distances in extreme conditions, yet still navigate easily in harbors and under bridges. They approached boat designer tim Barnett Offshore design Ltd,Blenheim, New Zealand, and together they created the Matariki.
